Permanent courses
The Bo Halbirk studio offers a permanent course every monday for amateurs or artists who wish to learn about engraving techniques or improve their skills. They can thus benefit from this particularly well-equipped workshop: several intaglio presses, including one for large formats, typography press, lithography press.
They receive instruction from a professional artist to discover or relearn the basics of printmaking as well as more in-depth techniques, such as aquatints, soft varnish, sugar, relief, special bites, etc. in order to acquire or improve the broad fundamentals of the profession.
Monday classes take place on three slots
Morning: 10:30 am to 02:00 pm
Afternoon: 14:30 pm to 06 pm
Evening classes: 18:30 pm to 10:00 pm
The permanent courses formula is as follows:
- 3.5 hours per week (4 sessions per month)
- Price: €250 per month payable at the beginning of the month
- The basic material is provided with the exception of plates and consumables such as white spirit, 90° alcohol and paper towels.

Private courses
It is also possible to take private lessons depending on the availability of the teachers.
Two formulas are available:
- A 3.5 hour session at 10:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m.
- Price: 100 €
- The basic material is provided with the exception of plates and consumables such as white spirit, 90° alcohol and paper towels.
- Two 3.5 hour sessions between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. with an hour break at 12:30 p.m.
- Price: 200 €
- The basic material is provided with the exception of plates and consumables such as white spirit, 90° alcohol and paper towels.

Monthly etching course
Every last weekend of the month

Lithography workshop
Occasionaly the studio organizes a lithography workshop in three sessions with the artist Pierre Lancelin.

Photogravure workshop
The studio also provides private lessons and specific support dedicated to photoengraving. Please consult us by calling us or writing us an e-mail to set one or more dates.
Introduction:
- 4 sessions of 3h30
- The basic material is provided with the exception of photosensitive plates/film/copper plates and consumables such as white spirit, 90° alcohol and paper towels. It is possible to buy photosensitive film on site. As the photosensitive plates are perishable, we do not stock them.
- Price: 330 €
Support for initiates wishing help to carry out a project:
- A day of support from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. with an hour's break at 12:30 p.m.
- The basic material is provided except for the photosensitive plates/films/copper plates and consumables such as white spirit, 90° alcohol and paper towels.
- Price: 260 €
